The commercial decision
A concept sample proves that an idea can be assembled. It does not prove that hundreds or thousands of units can be built with the same safety, cooking result and appearance. The program must turn preferences into controlled documents and production evidence.
What the evidence can support
A robust sequence includes product requirements, architecture and risk review, engineering verification, tooling validation, compliance testing on the nominated construction, packaging validation, pilot production and mass-production release. Each stage should identify the BOM revision, software revision, sample quantity, deviations and raw results.
A repeatable way to compare suppliers
Use a golden sample only as a visual and functional reference; pair it with drawings, tolerances, material specifications and test limits. During pilot, record first-pass yield, rework, station failures and cycle time with production-intent fixtures and operators. Close safety and performance causes before volume release.
Cost and launch consequences
Release purchase orders in stages tied to evidence. Tool deposits, certification fees and material commitments have different cancellation risk. A gate-based commercial schedule makes the cost of a late change visible and protects both buyer and factory from ambiguous approval.
Boundaries on the claim
Pilot units that pass after engineering handwork are not mass-production evidence. Record all rework and retest. A final-inspection pass rate cannot hide an unstable upstream process.
